Art Alliance classes are held on schedule when the Greensboro Cultural Center is open. If  conditions are not deemed safe the building will close and classes will not be held. As always, use your best judgement.

Drawing & Painting

Painting the Human Figure

Mondays

SESSION 1, May 5-June 23

7 – 9:30PM

Instructor: Vince Rabil

Choice of oil, acrylic or watercolor. Exploration of color, form,

space and light to create a unified and expressive painting.

$90/8 weeks. Includes model fee. Supplies required

Drawing the Human Figure

Fundamentals of anatomy and drawing technique.

Intro to Oil Painting
TUESDAYS

Session 1: May 6-June 24    

Session II:  July 10-Augtust 26

Instructor: Mavis Liggett

This class will teach the basics of oil painting with an emphasis on individual  expression.
Working from still life, the student will learn the rudiments of oil painting, some basic drawing tecniques, color theory and composition in order to create a finished painting.
$80/8 weeks. Supplies required. Please pre-register to avoid disappointment.

Watercolor Painting/Intro to Drawing

Session 1: May 7-June25     

Session II: July 11-August 27
7 – 9PM
Instructor: Jack Stratton
Appropriate for beginning and intermediate students. Basic drawing and watercolor techniques; discussions of composition, color theory and masters of painting and drawing.
$80/8 weeks. Supplies required.

Classes meet in room #127, first floor of the Cultural Center.

Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Payment is due by the first class.  Some scholarship assistance is available. Please call 373-2725 for more information.
