FA2 - Painting Portraits

A comprehensive class exploring the fundamentals of painting portraits in oil while reviewing the principals that underly all good art.

FA3 - Drawing the Human Figure

Choice of oil, acrylic or watercolor. Exploration of color, form,

space and light to create a unified and expressive painting. Class is intermediate/advanced level.

FA5 - Intro/Intermediate Oil Painting
Instructor: Mavis Liggett

TUESDAYS , 6:30 - 9PM                             

This class will explore the basics of oil painting with an emphasis on individual  expression.
Working from still life, the student will develop the rudiments of oil painting, basic drawing tecniques, color theory and composition in order to create a finished painting.

Session 1: January 10 - February 29/ $100 for *8 weeks.

FA6 - Daytime Drawing & Painting

This class sculpts in clay from the live model, both portrait & figurative. Experience not required/enthusiasm essential.

This class is for the person who wants to learn the basic drawing techniques.  It is a good place to start to move on to our figurative drawing and painting classes.  Supplies required.

Art Alliance classes are held on schedule when the Greensboro Cultural Center is open. If  conditions are not deemed safe the building will close and classes will not be held.  Afterschool classes will follow the Guilford County School cancellation schedule.
