Pre-registration is necessary - Art Alliance will need a minimum number of students confirmed to hold every class, and we have a class maximum limit to ensure good student instruction. Please call for more information on these classes, and to schedule a class with your group.

Youth classes meet for 6-week sessions.Cost $60/6-weeks

All supplies are included.

Parent/caregiver and child workshops

Cost:  $20 for each participant.  Ages six years and up.

Garden Art, May 10

Make a birdhouse to invite the birds! and a festive banner to brighten up your yard and window.  All supplies are included. Remember to bring a bag lunch.

Art Alliance Art Camps 2008

Camp Fees

$120 per class per week

$240 for all day

Please inquire about discounts for multiple all day weeks, or siblings attending all day weeks together. Class size is limited for all camps. Pre registration is required. Scholarships may be available, call for more information.

Camps are held in the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center, 200 N. Davie Street, in downtown Greensboro. Art Alliance camps are on the first floor of the Cultural Center, studios 127 & 129. Camp instructors are all trained artists. June 30-July 3

Teen Camp

Art Alliance Teen camps are divided into two age groups. 

Teen pottery

includes introduction to the studio, hand building, wheel throwing, embellishment and glazing techniques. An additional day for students to visit the clay studio will be scheduled to complete the glazing. All materials are included; clay pieces are glazed and fired.

Fine Craft

offers an introduction to craft as an art form. This camp includes decorative paper making, book making, printing, and textile embellishment.

Drawing and painting

techniques are explored using a variety of dry and wet media on paper, canvas and board.

Ages 15-19years old

Fall 2008

Drawing and Painting

Students work with a variety of dry media: pencil, colored pencil, chalk and oil pastel, charcoal, marker.  Painting may include watercolor, ink, tempera, acrylic. Learn more about composition, shape, line, texture, form, and increase your portfolio of work!
